The

Advisryin Motion

Business as a performance sport.

This is where we show what we're building, who we're backing, and how The Advisry helps turn ideas into actual momentum.

The idea

What this is

Advisry in Motion is a running look at the work we're part of.

Some of it is client work, some of it is our own brand projects, and some of it is the stuff we're testing, building, filming, and launching along the way.

The point is simple: we like to get involved, make things happen, and help people move forward.

Local Legends

From idea to first sales.

Local Legends started with two brothers who wanted to leave their jobs and build something of their own.

We helped them get the company set up, shape the offer, build the brand, launch the website, and put a simple 90-day plan in place to get moving.

They've since landed their first sales, and we're still alongside them as they build out the next stage of the business.

  • Company set up
  • Brand and website launched
  • Offer shaped
  • 90-day plan created
  • First sales achieved
  • Ongoing support underway

Where they started

Two Christchurch brothers with the drive to start something, but needing help to shape it into a proper business.

What we helped with

  • company setup
  • brand direction
  • website build
  • offer and service positioning
  • enquiry pathway
  • 90-day plan
  • early sales strategy
  • ongoing check-ins and direction

Where it is now

The website is live, the business is operating, first sales are coming through, and the next focus is helping them build a steady pipeline of work.

Brand in motion

Behind the scenes

The projects, content, and brand moves we're building as we go.

Advisry Racing

Taking the brand off the screen and onto the track.

Advisry Racing is part brand build, part content project, and part reminder that business does not have to feel boring.

We branded the car, took it to the track, captured the day, and started building a more visible side of The Advisry, one that shows the people, energy, and movement behind the business.

What it is

A visual brand project built around The Advisry race car, track day content, and the people behind the business.

Why we're doing it

We want The Advisry to feel active, visible, and real. The car gives us a way to create content, tell stories, and show the brand in motion rather than just talking about it.

What comes next

More track content, more behind-the-scenes footage, and more ways to connect the brand to real-world moments.

The Advisry is a family-owned New Zealand strategic advisory firm for business owners. The people behind it have owned, operated, scaled, and exited real businesses — across big-box retail, commercial property, development, and operations — so the advice comes from experience, not theory.

Business owners, founders, operators, and boards — from people setting up their first company to established owners weighing a sale, a restructure, or their next move. If you want a real conversation with people who have actually run businesses, you are who we work with.

We are based in Aotearoa New Zealand with a strong presence in Canterbury and Marlborough, and we work with clients right across New Zealand and Australia. Most advisory work is done remotely by call and email, with in-person sessions where it adds value.

Both. Day-to-day advisory happens over calls and email so distance is never a barrier, and we meet in person when a decision or a session calls for it — including our Strategy Day in Marlborough.

It depends on the engagement. Some are fixed-fee and published — the Website Package at $1,999 + GST ($999 + GST for July), Momentum Pulse from $499/month, the Strategy Day from $4,999 + GST, and the Startup Package for $6,999 + GST. Deeper or bespoke engagements are priced on enquiry. All pricing is plus GST.

We are operators, not career consultants. Everything we advise on — retail, property, development, people, capital, exits — we have done ourselves with our own money and businesses on the line. You get direct, honest advice from people who have sat in the seat.

Big-box and independent retail, commercial property and development, and the operations, people, and capital decisions that sit underneath any business. We advise on strategy, structure, governance, property, HR and systems, exits, and digital.

Start a conversation through the contact page and tell us where the business is and what you are weighing up. We respond to every enquiry within one business day, and the first conversation is about whether we are the right fit — no obligation.

Yes. The initial conversation is a no-obligation chat to understand your situation and tell you honestly whether we can help. If we are not the right people for it, we will say so.

No. We deliberately work with a small number of clients at any one time so the attention and advice stay genuine. It is worth getting in touch early if you have something specific in mind.
